In 15 months the Arab Center of Washington, with leadership and support from the Arab community, will hold its ever-popular Arab Festival at Seattle Center. The festivities will take place on August 1-2, 2009. Our 2007 Festival was a success, but we can certainly improve. As one Seattle Center leader wrote in her evaluation:

"I urge the organizing committee to work on fundraising, to bring back the amazing variety of programming displayed in the 2005 festival."

We want to raise the bar in our programming, spark new and creative ideas -- and of course, raise the money to make these ideas possible.

This is your chance to tell it to us straight: what you love about the festival, what you dream of seeing, and what changes we can make to improve the event. Your input counts!

In the coming months, a Festival Committee will form with vacancies for leadership positions and volunteers. We will keep you posted.
