Arab Festival- Community Forum
We want the 2009 festival to be the biggest and best yet.
at the Seattle Center’s Center House Conference Room H (third floor).
Your leadership is a key factor in the success of our festival. Please
join us for a community meeting on October 4 to begin building the
committees and programs for the 2009 festival.
Your participation could be in one or more of the following activities:
• Arranging for a country booth to display cultural material of that region.
• Participating in the food/drinks/dessert corner. Booths will serve ethnic cuisine.
• Organizing art exhibits by Arabic artists or a fashion show of traditional dresses
• Participating in or organizing lectures, dabkeh, and workshops
• Recruiting volunteers to help many festival needs (performer stages, exhibits, information, decoration)
• Children’s activities
• Contributing as a sponsor or donor
• Any other workable ideas.
The festival is produced by a festival committee that consists of community members and supporters. Meetings are open to all. In the October meeting, we will ask for your ideas on programming, and recruit volunteers for leadership and committee positions. We also have feedback to share from our community survey.
